It features a huge ground mural as well as rain gardens which are a complement to the Anderston railway station’s entrance. Gabriella Marcella, a Scottish artist, was the artist who designed the project. The project was inspired by ecological problems such as excess rain Glasgow residents have to contend with. The purpose of this project is to encourage cyclists as well as pedestrian movements around the city.
In London The project in London was dubbed ‘Bring London Together’ and involved the London-based artist Yinka Ilori and art students at the London University of Arts. It created vibrant designs on 12 interconnected intersections, as well as a pedestrian plaza located in central part of the city.
